With Christmas fast approaching, the Mildura Health Foundation is encouraging people to give a gift that will have a lasting impact on the community, by donating to the Foundation, in a loved one’s name.
Mildura Health Foundation Company Secretary, Ms. Cheryl Rix, says the Foundation has received overwhelming community support and with its first project, the Dr. Julie Zrna Centre well underway and planning for other projects targeting gaps in regional healthcare also in progress, the Foundation is keen to keep the momentum going over the holiday season.
“So many people have already got behind the Foundation, from local government and organisations to individuals and we will be forever grateful for that.
“Our Christmas Gift initiative further expands the ways in which people can support our projects, and it can be done quickly, via our Foundation’s website.”
The simple three step online process allows people to select a donation amount from $20 upwards, before writing a personalised message and adding the recipient’s email address for delivery on a date of their choice.
Ms. Rix says that Mildura City Heart, who are proud supporters of the Foundation, are rewarding people’s generosity by donating five $100 Mildura City Heart Gift Cards which every donor will go into a draw to win.
“We are grateful for Mildura City’s support, and I hope it encourages more people, who might be stuck for present ideas, to think about giving a gift that will be part of something bigger, that will make such a difference in the lives of so many.
“Each donation will help us care for people being treated for cancer in Mildura and for the lucky winners of the Mildura City Gift Cards, they’ll also be buying local and supporting our small businesses.”
Mildura Health Foundation is focused on improving health outcomes and reducing the stress that is often linked to critical treatment that historically, has demanded our community travel great distances and at great cost, to receive.
Who wouldn’t want a donation made in their name for a vision as worthy as that?
